On today’s episode we dive into the returns thus far on the Tuesday, November 8th, election, with a particular focus on the races that impact policing along with other parts of the local ballots. We’ll start in San Francisco, and then move to the East Bay. Note that the conversation was recorded on the morning of November 9th, so more recent ballot counting may have changed some of the results since this recording.
We start in San Francisco, where it appears London Breed has victories across the board, with guest Joe Eskinazi, themanaging editor and columnist at Mission Local, who was named the 2019 Journalist of the Year by the Northern California branch of the Society of Professional Journalists.
