Trans Day of Remembrance; Bracing for the Bay Area ‘Bomb Cyclone’; Plus Resistance in Residence Artist DJ LadyRyan

Today is the Trans Day of Remembrance. We start the show in conversation with a founder of San Francisco’s Transgender District and co-owner of the Stud bar who currently works as the Director of the Office of Trans Initiatives in San Francisco, Honey Mahogany. Honey Mahogany is also discussing the San Francisco plans to commemorate the Trans Day of Remembrance in the late afternoon of Wednesday, November 20th.

Then we take a look at the “bomb cyclone” weather pattern, set to land in the Bay Area today and to stay for the next handful of days. We’re in conversation with Eugene Cordero, a professor of Meteorology and Climate Science at San Jose State University, and also the founder and director of Green Ninja, an educational publisher that uses solutions to environmental problems as a lens for teaching science.

Then to the weather impacts on our houseless neighbors, we’ll speak with Talya Husbands-Hankin, the founder of Love and Justice in the Streets.
