DR Congo’s Catastrophic Ebola Outbreak & the Links to its History of Colonialism and Extractivism

We speak with Maurice Carney about the Ebola situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the history of colonialism and extractivism. The World Health Organization is warning that the East of the country is at the center of a “catastrophic collision of disease and conflict” with the Ebola outbreak in Ituri province outpacing the response.
