We’ll talk with Dr. Melina Abdullah about the ongoing resistance in Los Angeles to the Trump Administration’s ICE raid’s this week. Dr. Abdullah is a professor and the chair of pan-African studies at Cal State Los Angeles, as well as the co-founder of the Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter and co-founder of Black Lives Matter Grassroots.
We’ll also speak with Joe Rivano Barros, reporter and editor at the independent news site Mission Local who has been covering the anti-ICE protests in San Francisco this week.
Our Resistance in Residence Artist this week is children’s book creator, artivist, and Hollywood film illustrator and concept artist, Nikkolas Smith, whose newest hand-painted children’s book is titled The History of We.
