Congresswoman Lateefah Simon Rejects the Coal Terminal in Oakland. Then, Hampton Jr Updates on his Case

On today’s show, Congresswoman Lateefah talking about why she opposes the coal terminal in West Oakland. Then, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr joins us to provide updates on his recent arrests and ongoing legal battles to protect his father’s legacy.

Lateefah Simon is the Bay Area congresswoman representing California’s 12th District, which includes the cities of Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Alameda, Albany, Piedmont, and most of San Leandro.

Chairman Fred Hampton Jr. is a Chicago-based community organizer, activist.  He is the president and chairman of the Prisoners of Conscience Committee and Black Panther Cubs.  He is the son of the Black Panther Party leader Fred Hampton.
