This hour, we focus on two stories involving Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price.
First, families impacted by the law enforcement killings of Augie Gonsalez, Mario Gonsalez, and Eric Salgado renew their calls for justice, demanding that DA Price charge the officers responsible with murder. We speak with James Burch, Policy Director for the Anti Police-Terror Project and Amanda Majil-Blanco, the sister of Erik Salgado.
The “Justice in July” block party takes place this Friday, July 28 from 4-7 PM near the Lake Merritt Amphitheater.
Next, allegations have surfaced against a prominent figure in San Francisco District Attorney’s office. DA Price announced last week she is charging former Assistant District Attorney Amilcar “Butch” Ford with a misdemeanor for allegedly sharing confidential information while he was still working in Price’s office earlier this year. Eric Ting, SFGATE’s Politics Editor unpacks the latest developments.
