On today’s call-in special, Cat Brooks welcomed Dr. Mia Curcuruto, a chiropractor and founder of Breathe Health Center; Dr. Jennifer Henry, a licensed naturopathic doctor specializing in women’s health; and Valerie Tookes, a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach at the Women’s Vitality Center. Together, they explored perimenopause through the lens of Black women’s health and the unique experiences of women of color, discussing the physical, emotional, and hormonal changes that can come with this stage of life, and exploring the importance of culturally responsive care.
Listeners joined the conversation throughout the show, calling in with questions about hormone health, menopause, and overall wellness. Our guests shared insights and resources while emphasizing that every person’s experience is different and that informed, individualized care is key.
Law & Disorder exposes the cracks in our system, agitates for resistance, and collectively builds a new world where all of us thrive. Hosted by Cat Brooks.
