As the genocide in gaza continues, we are seeing thousands of people flood the streets in cities across the country. A common demand amongst ceasefire activists is that their cities take a stand by passing ceasefire resolutions. On today’s show we walk through some of those local efforts with Lara Kiswani, the Executive Director of the Arab Resource and Organizing Center, which organizes for racial and economic justice and the dignity and liberation of our Arab, and Muslim communities here in the Bay Area. She is also Palestinian.
Then, we go live to the Golden Gate Bridge, where protesters staged a visible demonstration, marching from both sides of the bridge to meet in the middle, waving Palestinian flags, holding banners, and demanding a ceasefire in Palestine, all lead by interfaith and inter-spiritual Bay Area leaders. Our producer Jesse Strauss reports from the scene, and features guests on the bridge including Rabbi Lynn Gottleib and Corrina Gould.
