Palestine Post w/ Rehab Nazzal and Resistance in Residence Artist Candance Johnson

On today’s Palestine Post, we speak with Rehab Nazzal, a Palestinian-born multidisciplinary artist based in Montréal. Her work deals with the effects of settler-colonial violence on the bodies and minds of colonized peoples, on the land and on other non-human life. Nazzal’s video, photography and sound works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Canada and internationally. Her book is called Driving in Palestine,  which explores the politics of mobility Nazzal encountered firsthand while traversing the occupied West Bank between 2010 and 2020.

Our Resistance in Residence artist this week is Candace Johnson, a multi-hyphenated artist and creator of the solo show Scat-ter Brain, The Music of ADHD, playing July 19 – September 13 at San Francisco’s Marsh Theater as part of their POC Mental Health Awareness series.
