No Tech for Israeli Apartheid; Plus, Commemorating Black August

On August 29th, the Palestinian Youth Movement is organizing a protest against technological development and support that aidds Israel’s colonial violence. We are joined by two organizers with the Palestinian Youth Movement, Saif and Rami, who work with student activists in the Bay Area to raise political consciousness around the colonization of Palestine.

Continuing our month-long focus on Black August, we are joined by Thandisizwe Chimerenga, is a Journalist and author who covered the Oscar Grant trial for the SF Bayview and Oakland Local. She is also a former Free Speech Radio News correspondent, KPFK host, and longtime community activist who is co-founder of Black August Los Angeles.

This week’s Resistance in Residence Artist is dancer, artist, choreographer, consultant and founder of Destiny Arts Center, Sarah Crowell.
