Remembering Oakland activist Kenzie Smith w/ Mistah FAB and Tur-Ha Ak; an update on Wood Street Commons; plus Resistance in Residence artist Star Finch

On today’s show, remembering Oakland activist Kenzie Smith with Mistah FAB, close friend and brother of Kenzie Smith, who is an Oakland native, hip hop artist, community advocate, owner of the brand and Oakland store Dope Era, and my friend, Stanley Cox, also known as Stan Pablo, also known as Fabby Davis Jr, also known as F-A-B, but most commonly known as Mistah Fab; and Turha AK is a longtime organizer, movement strategist and security expert. He is the founder of Community Ready Corps and a co-founder of the Anti Police-Terror Project.

Last week – community members from the Wood Street Commons held a press conference with demands for the city of Oakland around public lands and housing the unhoused. Joining us to discuss is Leajay Harper is an advocate who has been a part of both the Wood Street Commons and Homefulness.

This week’s Resistance in Residence artist is Bay Area playwright Star Finch.
