this episode is no longer available

Ethereal and earthy, vocalist Laurie Antonioli has a brand new recording, “The Constant Passage of Time,” on which she pairs original lyrics with music by Russell Ferrante, Nguyen Le, Johannes Enders, and Paul Nagle, and interprets pop-repertoire songs by Sheryl Crow (“Riverwide”), Neil Young (“Don’t Let It Bring You Down”), and Joni Mitchell (“Harry’s House/The Arrangement” and “Love”). In the first hour of “The Hear and Now,” she and host Derk Richardson will talk about the recording (and Antonioli’s musical journey to this point) and play tracks as a preview to her CD-release concert at the California Jazz Conservatory on March 30, where her band will include pianist Matt Clark, guitarist Dave MacNab, saxophonist/clarinetist Sheldon Brown, and drummer Jason Lewis.
