On this episode of It’s Going Down, KPFA listeners are treated to a conversation with two participants in the Woodbine community center located in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens, New York. They discuss how the group formed out of Occupy Wall Street, autonomous mutual aid organizing in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, and the Black Lives Matter movement. They go on to discuss how they are building up mutual aid programs in the face of COVID-19 and the process around creating popular community infrastructure.
