How Union Members Pushed the National Guard Out of Their Labor Center

In this episode of the It’s Going Down show, we speak with Kieran, a long-time community, labor, and anti-racist organizer in the Twin Cities and the current president of CWA Local 7250, about how rank-n-file union members pushed out the National Guard from their local Labor Center. In recent weeks, over 3,000 National Guard troops have flooded into Minnesota for both the Derek Chauvin trial and to support local police put down protests in near-by Lincoln Center that have erupted following the police murder of Daunte Wright.

We then switch gears and discuss the recent end of the Derek Chauvin trial and place it amidst a contest of ongoing police killings and abolitionist action.
