If you didn’t hear in the intro of this week’s episode, I am changing up the format of the show just a bit.
I am still going to play Bay Area Hip-Hop from the 80’s, 90’s, but now will include music from the early 2k’s and hip-hop joints from beyond The Bay.
It won’t be one of those generic old school rap shows that only plays the same 5 Trtbe, Wu-Tang, De La and Ice Cube records. I will play those artists but there were hundreds of artists I was up on back then from all over. So expect more album cuts, remixes, b-sides, unreleased joints, singles and more.
As someone who was anti CD for the longest time, most of the artists you hear I had on cassette, so the name still holds true.
When I say I had that tape, I mean it.
