Daniel Ellsberg’s last public event with KPFA was in February, 2018 at King Middle School in Berkeley. Ellsberg speaks with KPFA’s Larry Bensky about his book, The Doomsday Machine: Confessions of a Nuclear War Planner. Ellsberg argues that the mere existence of nuclear weapons is a threat to all humanity. Best known for his leak of the Pentagon Papers which detailed how the White House lied to the public about the Vietnam War for 30 years, Ellsberg passed away June 16th, 2023.
