We speak with Mike Africa Sr. Mike Africa Sr., a member of the MOVE 9, was released from prison on Oct. 23rd, 2018, after spending 40 years behind bars. Mike Africa Sr., along with eight others were unjustly convicted and sentenced to 30 to 100 years in prison following the 1978 police attack on the MOVE organization, which resulted in the death of a Philadelphia police officer. Two of the nine died in prison and two members of the MOVE 9, a radical organization still remain behind bars.
