Episode 175: Digital Downloads Vol. 11 includes pairings from bands swept onto the hard drive over the last five months: The Night Monitor, Jan Jelinek, Bogdan Raczynski, Slauson Malone 1, KRMU, Flame 2, PANSTARRS, Ensemble Volcanic Ash, and Pange de Futura.

“It has been five months since we did a digital downloads show. And during that time, we have done a lot of “features”- three memorials, three shows that focused on the music of Cairo, and four world music shows. In the course of those events, we did a lot of digital downloading, and like all of the non-show DDL’s, they are just sitting there, collecting digital dust. But even bringing you this byproduct, we are pretty selective, as you will see.
“For approximately half of this first hour, and a small fraction of the second, we are focused on ambient noise. The other half is a smattering of left field hip-hop and our low-fi IDM. These tracks run in pairs with one exception, which we will note later. Switching gears just a bit, we begin with The Night Monitor out of Blackpool UK, from an album appropriately titled The House Is Haunted. We then turn our attention to the magnificent Jan Jelenik, an artist we have featured many times on the show. And we close it out with the humorous and quirky dance music of Bogdan Raczynski from a reissue of his Samurai Masu Bitsu…”
