Nina Serrano interviews author, Diana Mansfield about her adventures in the “Bone Room”, a natural history store on Solano Avenue in Berkeley. Diana reads bitter-sweet excerpts from her fascinating manuscript.Then, Poet, Deema Shehabi reads her original and moving work on immigration from her Palestinian homeland and love. Her lyrical voice and words will inspire.
The program closes with Nina Serrano’s poems about the California Missions accompanied by original music from the handmade flutes of Jose Cuellar, Dr. Loco.
