Reyna Cowan examines the 1968 film, The Battle Front for the Liberation of Japan – Summer in Sanrizuka directed by Shinsuke Ogawa and the Ogawa Pro filmmaking collective. Interviewing Miryam Sas, a Professor of Comparative Literature and Film & Media at the University of California, Berkeley, she looks at the revolutionary film that follows farmers and student activists fight against the forced eviction from their lands to build a new international airport in Narita, near Tokyo. The film is part of Pacifica Film Archives Global Cinema series.
