Carey Perloff is the Artistic Director of San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater. She is also the author of a memoir, Beautiful Chaos: A Life in the Theater, published by City Lights Books. In this interview with host Richard Wolinsky, she discusses her own history as well as muses on the nature of theater, her particular tastes in plays and issues involving education.
