When ABOT does a tribute show, we try to do it for people you may not have heard of before. And this morning is no exception. This show is dedicated to Bobby Tench- gifted vocalist, guitarist and composer, who passed away in February of 2024.
Bobby Tench was born in the UK and turned 16 in 1960, and as such came of age during the British invasion. He was a sideman for Freddy King and Van Morrison, as well as leader of the bands Gass and Hummingbird. He also featured prominently in early incarnations of Jeff Beck solo projects- particularly Rough and Ready, which is how he came to our attention at ABOT.
