Luz Mena is the co-creator and project manager of ANDARES, Part One, a multi-disciplinary performance work produced in association with ABD Productions (Anne Bluethenthall Dance) and the musical group Mezoamerika, as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival this coming weekend May 29-31, 2015. The piece, in three rooms at the Firehouse in Fort Mason, deals with the aftermath and reconciliation following the brutal Civil War in El Salvador that ended in the early 1990s.
