The Morning Mix

The Morning Mix – WorkWeek

The continuing struggle of BART and AC transit workers to win a contract and also the growing threats to pass anti-strike legislation that threaten all public workers. We will also have a report on the strike vote of 9,000 Santa Clara County workers who also face concession demands.
WorkWeek also interviews UAW Detroit auto worker Frank Hammer who has been defending injured Colombian General Motor workers and their fight for medical care and compensation. They have been on a hunger strike in Bogota at the US Embassy.
We hear from Labor troubadour Anne Feeney who will be coming to the bay area later this month as part of a national summer labor solidarity tour. She will talk to us about the summer labor solidarity tour.
