APEX Express – January 22, 2004

Poetry in the Kitchen: mixing recipes and creativity. Asian Pacific Islander youth poets read their works created in the kitchen and director Penina Taesali talks about this unique program that’s part of Asian and Pacific Islander Youth for Advocacy and Leadership. And, as Lunar New Year is celebrated, more attention is paid to Chinese communities in this festive period. However, Apex talks with journalist and author Bill Wong and asks if the increasingly complex US-China relationship has a bearing on Chinese in America. Plus music, calendar, and more.
