Raised just outside Chicago and transplanted to Los Angeles (by way of two years in Madrid), Haroula Rose drops into the KPFA studio to play a few songs with her guitar and share more lushly arranged tracks from her just-released EP, So Easy, the follow-up to last year’s full-length These Open Roads. That she covers both Francoise Hardy and Jimmy Webb says something about her pop sensibilities, which merge with a Joni Mitchell- / Vashti Bunyan- / Leonard Cohen-like folk aesthetic in a beguiling mix occasionally tinged with country.
