Workweek on Monday July 9th will look at the battle at the Port of Oakland and a possible strike by SEIU 1021 Port workers. We will also look at the connection between the Oakland Lakeview School Sit-in and labor. Also labor journalist Mike Elk will speak about union busting at the Department of Defense. Finally, an interview with film maker Anne Lewis about her new film “Anne Braden: Southern Patriot.” Anne Braden was a white women who fought segregation in the South, as well as supporting union struggles there.
