The History Of Funk

The History Of Funk – June 19, 2009 at 10:00pm

this episode is no longer available

Kicking on, this begins with an extended mix about music cut-up techniques and procedures in music now, sampling from and for collage, the illegal side of music, and songs about the business at the top of the pops. Then a long nod to jazz and Hip Hop, mixing their censored pasts with avant examples, rock returns with a great Clapton performance, and John Lennon takes the kids into space.

3 Hours.
