La Raza Chronicles – June 9, 2009

this episode is no longer available

We welcome summer with a fiesta of song. We feature conversations with Fernandito Ferrer of Puerto Rico and hear his beautiful songs and unique sweet voice, as well as conversation with the Oakland-based group Fuga and their high energy, socially-conscious original hits. We’ll offer ticket giveaways and free down loads. Guest, Daniel del Solar tells us about community radio in Buenos Aires and we share news of our own KPFA & Pacifica elections. We’ll also bring you headlines from the Americas and a special report on women with disabilities. We’ll stroll through the Streets of Aztlan to catch the word on the street and hear a calendar of upcoming events.

Produced by Vanessa Bohm, Carmen Andrea Rivera, Ctone, Ventura Longoria, Julieta Kusnir, Emiliano Echeverria and Nina Serrano.
