Touring in support of her new CD, Classics, singer-songwriter Susan Werner visits with host Derk Richardson in the Hear & Now. Following such compelling albums of the past decade as New Non-Fiction, I Can't Be New (pop standards), and The Gospel Truth (original investigations of spiritual themes in the gospel tradition), Classics finds Werner interpreting songs by Marvin Gay, Cat Stevens, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Brian Wilson, and others in a setting of chamber string arrangements.
