Woman's Magazine looks at the housing crisis and its affect on women. Research has found that women have been credit profiled by the home lending industry. With slightly better credit scores than men and similar credit usage patterns, women have been targetted for subprime loans, hi-cost loans that have been at the center of the alarming rate of foreclosures and subsequent declining home values. Womens Magazine also looks at the high rate of renter evictions due to foreclosed apartment buildings, and that women comprise more than 75% of these evictions through no fault of their own.
