Victor Krummenacher and band perform live.
Victor Krummenacher (bassist and co-founder Camper Van Beethoven) just released his sixth full-length solo CD, Patriarch’s Blues. The album was written and recorded in the wake of the deaths of both his father and stepfather, within three weeks of each other, last fall. With fellow CVB veterans, Jonathan Segel, Greg Lisher and David Immerglück, plus Alison Faith Levy, Krummenacher recorded a stirring multi-part eulogy, using traditional blues, the poetry of W.H. Auden, a James McMurtry tune, and moving original music to bridge the personal and universal aspects of loss.
