This week on Women's Magazine we air the 3rd episode of the radio novela, Las Comadres, three senoras who meet regularly at a cafe to discuss how to repair the world. Today they make plans for the annual international day for the elimination of violence against women and girls. On Nov 25, they will meet on the steps of City Hall in San Francisco to kick off 16 days of activism. And, we hear an interview of Corbett O'Toole, legendary disability rights activist speaking about the international disability rights movement, and where the movement needs to go in terms of women, lesbian, people of color, and class issues. She also talks about her disappointment that the movement hasn't come far enough for her 13-year old daughter who is also disabled.
