In his Poem "Call of Love", the 13th century Persian poet Rumi says:
At every instant and from every side, resounds the call of Love: We are going to sky, who wants to come with us?

KPFA paid tribute to Rumi at a recent sold out event but you have a chance to respond to the call of love by tuning in to the KPFA’s ACT ONE  Sunday May 11 at 7:30 PM.  Hear selected poems, music and experience the celebration of love. Be touched by the man whom many consider to be one of the greatest spiritual masters and mystic poets of Islamic civilization. The Call of Love- A tribute to Rumi.

Also, an interview with Archana Ramaswamy, trained classical dancer with the formative training in Bharatanatyam, appearing a new interpretation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream at the Curran Theater in San Francisco through June 1. Additional information at www.shnsf.com.
