Radio Chronicles – April 27, 2008

History of Indian Music
In the first half hour, The Radio Chronicles presents Deera Sujan’s radio documentary about the seductive power of Indian music and the demise of it’s ancient custodians—The Courtesans. In the second half hour of the Radio Chronicles, you’ll hear a radio book, "Looking Into the Sun," about how grief and the loss of a mother’s vision affect a mother-daughter relationship. Both the first and second half of today’s show is made possible through Radio Netherlands Worldwide. Today’s Radio Chronicles is hosted by Bonnie Bone and produced by Safi wa Nairobi.
