In this week’s program, Shahram Aghamir talks with leading Marxist thinker, critic and commentator, Professor Aijaz Ahmad, about the ongoing political crisis in Pakistan and its implications for the U.S. global strategy and its plans for West Asia, the region that is also known as the Middle East. His new book is entitled Afghanistan, Iraq and the Imperialism of Our Time.

Later in the program, Malihe Razazan in conversation with Bay-Area Golden Thread Productions’ Artistic Director Torange Yeghyazarian as well as actress Sara Razavi about Golden Thread’s 8th annual Festival of Short Plays that is currently on stage at Magic Theatre in San Francisco. http://www.goldenthread.org/
