The Morning Show examines the budget crisis in Sacramento with East Bay Assemblywoman, Loni Hancock. Then on the 6th anniversary of the opening of the Detention Camp at Guantanamo peace activists around the world have declared today the International Day of Action to Shut Down Guantanamo. Michael Ratner, President of the Center for Constitutional Rights gives his insights. Followed by news of Iraq war escalations this past week.
In the second hour Reyna Cowan reviews "The Violin" directed by Francisco Vargas and "Berlin and Beyond" –New Films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Wrapping up the program "Meeting Resistance" a new film about Iraq by Molly Bingham and Steve Connor.
