Thursday, Dec 20:  We explore what it is like to be a professional immigrating to the United States.  Upwardly Global helps highly-skilled immigrants, refugees and asylees reclaim their careers here in the United States and helps American employers discover and understand this hidden talent pool.  We also bring a feature from Peabody-award-winning producer, Dmae Roberts called Secret Asian, (Passing).  This year marks the 40th anniversary of Loving vs. L oving, a landmark decision to end the last ban on interracial marriage.  As at the daughter of an American serviceman father and a Taiwanese mother, Dmae grew up in two worlds.  Passing explores the personal stories of several Mixed Race Asians for a personal exploration of how attitudes and identity has changed the last few decades.
