Voices of the Middle East and North Africa

Voices of the Middle East and North Africa – November 14, 2007

In tonight’s program, we will bring you a talk on the subject of Academic Freedom by Professor Norman Finklestein, who was recently denied tenure for his courageous stance on the question of Israel/Palestine and resigned under pressure from his post as professor of History at De Paul University in Chicago.

Later in the program, we will talk with legendary co-founder of the Middle East Children’s Alliance, Barbara Lubin, about the upcoming MECA-sponsored art exhibit and sale of the late Berkeley artist Susanah Fiering’s body of work as a painter and sculptor to benefit the children of Palestine.
