this episode is no longer available

We begin with News of the Americas and an interview with awarded filmmaker Tupac Mauricio Saavedra discussing his campaign trail film "ON THE ROAD with Evo": an intimate and public glimpse of Evo Morales, the Bolivian president. We celebrate the release of Piri Thomas’s new book, and hear the reflections of the US ex-political prisoner, the Puerto Rican independista, Rudolfo Matos, and the passionate music of Lila Downs, followed by a first hand-account of the events in front of the Mexican consulate in San Francisco yesterday. We close with a calendario of local Latino cultural events. Produced by Maya Orozco and Nina Serrano.
