Voices of the Middle East and North Africa

Voices of the Middle East and North Africa – June 7, 2006

On this week’s program, we will talk to Israeli History Professor Ilan Pappe, who will share with us some of the encouraging strides made by the movement to boycott and divest from Israel over the past few weeks, in places such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, and even Israel itself.

Later in the program, we’ll hear the second half of our conversation with legendary Blues Musician Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal comes to Voices of the Middle East and North Africa to connect the dots for us between East African, North African, Middle Eastern and other types of music that are so dear to his heart and which continue to inspire his magical creations.
