This Wednesday night, as a part of KPFA’s spring fund drive, we will hear a talk by prolific writer and veteran activist Tariq Ali. This talk, entitled "Globalization, Fundamentalism and Resistance," was given at DePaul University in Chicago on February 27, 2006. Tariq Ali’s recently published book is entitled "Rough Music: Blair, Bombs, Baghdad, London, Terror".

During the program, we will also listen to selections from the CD "Endless Vision" where Iranian tar virtuoso and musical pioneer Hossein Alizadeh teams up with duduk legend Djivan Gasparyan for a musical journey that features Armenian, Azeri and Persian Lyrics and an array of instruments and voices.
