A live performance by singer/guitarist/songwriter Peter James and his band!

Peter’s absorbing original songs–played on a custom-built eight-string guitar and sung in a velvet voice at times reminiscent of David Sylvian or Elliott Smith–incorporate elements of classical minimalism (Philip Glass, Steve Reich) and musical influences picked up on his many travels through Southeast Asia.

Now based in the Bay Area, he has a brand new CD, Footnotes to Fairytales. His collaborators in creating this lush, cinematic folk music tonight include: Daniel Panasenko (Chapman Stick, electric upright bass), David Lofton (fretless guitar, guitar, support voice), and Gino Robair (drums and percussion).
