And, Apex covers major Asian Pacific Islander arts events in SF. Maori artists portray their world in New Zealand through an indigenous POV. Their exhibit at Yerba Buena Center reflects the renaissance in Maori arts as they struggle to re-gain what was lost. Also, Asian Crisis brings together the diaspora of Asian percussion with beats taken from the pulse of Asian America.
