The Elected chief of one of the two Indian
reservations in the U.S. [Minnesota] that never signed
a treaty surrendering its sovereignty will join Bill
Mandel.
It is now being pressured in a particularly ugly
fashion (frame-up jailing of the chief’s son) to share
its revenue from gaming with Minnesota, which is
running a deficit, although the Indians’ living
standard remains way below that of whites in
the state.
