Thinking Out Loud

Thinking Out Loud – June 12, 2005

Mandel and guest Sharon Tennison discuss the
latter’s years-long work in post-Soviet Russia to train
6,000 starting entrepreneurs in how to do business,
prohibited by Marxist socialism. She has recruited 23,000
volunteer Americans, with the aid primarily of Rotary clubs,
to host and train these people. Mandel emphasizes that this
has produced a substantial number of friends in each country
for the people of the other, and that this is vital inasmuch
as the U.S. and Russia are the only countries with enough
nuclear warheads and means of delivery to end the existence
of mankind if they go to war.
