Voices of the Middle East and North Africa

Voices of the Middle East and North Africa – May 4, 2005

Join Malihe and Khalil for this week’s program, during which we will first
have a discussion with Billal Al Amin, an activist and an editor of Left Turn
Magazine www.leftturn.org
from Beirut, Lebanon about the economic situation as well as the condition of
Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian workers in that country. Later in the program,
Matthew Shenoda, South Berkeley poet and SFSU professor talks to us about collection
of poems, "Somewhere Else," and the Coptic Egyptian roots that inspire
his work and activism. www.matthewshenoda.com
