Guests Daniel Zarazua, teacher at Oakland Unity High, and Monica Zarazua, bilingual teacher in the Richmond School District speak about their experiences in the classroom. They share their varied teaching experiences, and how they modify their lesson plans to meet the needs of urban and immigrant youth while being relevant to the students’ personal experiences, such as incorporating hip hop culture and music or parallel concepts from Mexico.
