The Iraqi city of Fallujah is rocked by a U.S. air strike, destroying a
house and killing 14 .people. the U.S. military says foreign fighters were the
target, local residents say the house was filled with civilians.

Palestinian government offices in Gaza were sacked and burned today, the
latest sign of growing anger with Yasser Arafat’s leadership.

Peace talks collapse in Sudan, and two rebel groups charge the government
