Following its Wednesday-night gig at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse, Patchy Sanders hangs around Berkeley and plays a live set on The Hear and Now, with Derk Richardson. The neo-folk band’s members include: sisters Dani (banjo, harp) and Jacqui Aubert (vocals), their partners Ian Van Ornum (mandolin, bouzouki) and Dan Sherrill (guitar, banjo, mandolin), and friends Sara Wilbur (violin, viola), Eric Jones (upright bass), and Alex Patterson (drums & percussion). There’s bluegrass and Celtic music in their sound on their debut CD, “& The Wild Peach Forest,” as well as ghostly harmonies, breaking waves, whistling, and “banjo witch ballads.”
